Its Tuesday 21st June and after many years of planning and designing, Villa & Hut invite Jiroe & Aroe of the Heavy Artillery Crew to the Brighton shop to spray the long awaited Big Buddha mural.

Its an early start at 7am putting up the old Indonesian bamboo scaffold and putting a white and lime green base coat of paint on Villa & Hut's Grade A listed walls. The forecast is sunshine and showers but will the weather hold so the artists can do their work?

Slowly but surely the Buddhas take shape. Layer after layer of paint goes on to form the intricate Big Buddha designs.

Crowds gather over on the street corner taking photographs of the artists at work. Jiroe paints the backgrounds and rough outlines while King Aroe comes in with the intricate detail and line work.

Finally after 12 hours of blood, sweat and tears the piece is completed. Light, peace and tranquility eminate from Villa & Hut's walls. We shall all now rest with the enlightened ones.

Thanks to Aroe & Jiroe of the Heavy Artillery, these boys know their onions and their Buddhas. Lucky 8.
